The set of three pencils comes in packaging designed with the silhouette of each product and also includes a timeline summarizing the 60-year history of Pentel drafting mechanical pencils. 

The Graph Gear 1000 has a click-top that extends and retracts the writing tip to protect the pipe when stowed. When the writing tip is extended, the pocket clip locks closed to prevent accidentally pocketing your pencil with the tip extended.

All Graph Gears have a rotating lead density selector. This helps you keep track of the lead density you've chosen to load in your pencil.
