Die Fütterung größerer Mengen Leber kann bei Welpen und empfindlichen Hunden zu Durchfall und Erbrechen führen. Ein leichtes Angaren kann helfen, die Verträglichkeit zu steigern. Leber ist für alle gesunden Hunde und Katzen jeglichen Alters zur gelegentlichen Fütterung (ein bis dreimal die Woche) geeignet.

Eine etwaig grünliche bzw. blass gräuliche Verfärbung des Produktes ist auf Oxidation bzw. auf Rückstände von Gallenflüssigkeit zurückzuführen. Dies stellt keinen Qualitätsmangel dar.
