Philodendron hederaceum 'Brasil'
This vining plant is naturally from tropical regions of South America, and is named for the striking yellow/green pattern on its leaves, which resemble Brazil's flag. This beautiful variety of the classic heart-leaf philodendron shows off a wide range of greens on every leaf, each with its own unique variegation pattern, and is just as easy to grow, making it a great beginner-friendly plant!
While this plant can grow in many light conditions, bright indirect light will help your Philodendron Brasil thrive and grow bigger leaves with more distinct variegation. Make sure to water your plant when the soil is about 75% dry, about once a week.
While heart-leaf philodendrons are not known to be fussy, they tend to grow best in humid environments, so if your bathroom gets good natural light, your Philodendron Brasil will grow much faster in there! Make sure to keep it away from drafty windows and AC or heat vents.

If you’re worried about getting your water schedule right, we recommend using a Moisture Meter! These handy tools will help you gauge if your plant needs water or not, without the mess of sticking your hands in the soil to check.
If a plant is out of stock, we apologize – we’re very grateful for our community’s support, and can sell out of certain plants quite quickly! We get new plants about once a week and try to source all our community’s favs as fast as we can.
If you’re local to the LA area, we recommend coming into the shop when you can, especially if you’re looking for a new plant! We have much more plants in our store than we display online, as well as a full backyard greenhouse that houses our discounted rehab plants that need a bit more TLC from a new home.
NOTE: Decorative pot not included. Toxic to animals when ingested.
