Plant Care

Light: Provide bright, indirect sunlight for your Ruby Necklace Plant. It thrives in ample light but should be protected from intense, direct sunlight. A south or west-facing window with filtered sunlight is ideal.


Temperature: Maintain a warm environment with temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Protect the plant from cold drafts and frost.


Watering: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when the top inch (2.5 cm) of the soil feels dry. Water sparingly, especially during the dormant season (fall and winter).


Soil: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Good drainage is crucial to prevent root rot.


Pot: Choose a pot with drainage holes to prevent waterlogged soil. Ruby Necklace Plants prefer slightly crowded conditions and do not require frequent repotting.


Fertilization: Feed your plant sparingly. Use a balanced, water-soluble cactus or succulent fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid over-fertilizing.


Pruning: Trim or prune leggy or discolored stems as needed to maintain the plant's appearance and encourage healthy growth.


Pests: Keep an eye out for common indoor plant pests like aphids or mealybugs. Inspect your plant regularly and treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
