Aglaonema ‘Golden Bay’ — golden elegance for any indoor space
Aglaonema ‘Golden Bay’ is a captivating evergreen houseplant from the Araceae family, celebrated for its striking green and golden foliage. Its elongated, oval leaves display vibrant golden-yellow streaks against rich green tones, creating a luminous and sophisticated look that enhances any interior. Compact and slow-growing, this tropical perennial typically reaches 18–28 inches in height, forming a neat rosette perfect for tabletops, corners, or office spaces.
Originating from the Philippines and tropical Southeast Asia, Aglaonema ‘Golden Bay’ thrives in low to medium indirect light, making it ideal for indoor environments with limited sunlight. While brighter, indirect light intensifies the leaf variegation, direct sun should be avoided to prevent leaf burn. Rare, greenish-white flowers may appear, though this plant is primarily grown for its decorative foliage.
Care tips: Keep the soil moderately moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Moderate humidity enhances growth, though this plant tolerates standard indoor conditions. Fertilize lightly during the growing season and repot every 2–3 years or when roots fill the container. Its resilience and low-maintenance nature make Aglaonema ‘Golden Bay’ perfect for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts. It pairs beautifully with other tropical foliage, such as ferns or calatheas, adding a vibrant focal point to interior plant arrangements.
