Plant Bio

Ficus Lyrata ‘Bambino’

Little Fiddle Leaf Fig (Ficus lyrata ‘Bambino’) was discovered in The Netherlands in the 1990s as a mutation of the more common Fiddle Leaf Fig. Noted for its compact growth, Little Fiddle is perfect for tabletops and small spaces that do not accommodate its much larger cousin. Fiddle Leaf Fig is native to areas of tropical Africa where it can grow to 75 feet tall or more as a dramatic evergreen tree. Fortunately for your home, Little Fiddle only reaches a few feet tall indoors.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.

Clinician and client reference in Somatic Therapy
Format: Paperback
This book is written as an office reference. Part of this book is dedicated at the clinical level towards the professional. The book has somatic techniques for the professional with explanations. It helps the professional understand the work and identify things while working with the client. Then part of this book is written with patient hand out materials and exercises. Those sections are similar to what one would see for a client workbook.

Looks like it will be helpful
Format: Audiobook
I'm not very far into this one yet, but so far, I love it. I bought the kindle and audible versions. It is nice to be able to listen to the exercises to go through them, and to be able to look up the specifics of any exercise. With whisper sync, I can point to an exercise in the kindle, and have audible read it to me. Great. the exercises I have tried so far seem like they are going to be helpful.

Great Resource Even for Non-Professionals
Format: Paperback
I am not a psychotherapist, but I ordered the workbook to learn more about somatics. It’s a very good resource from what I’ve experienced so far. I love how the concepts are plainly explained in (mostly) everyday language. I’m a helper and healer by nature, and I think I will get a lot of mileage out of the well-presented activities in the book. If you’re not a professional but are looking for ways to expand your knowledge of healing, trauma response, and the human body, you’ll like the practical nature of this one.
