All Nuna PIPA Series infant car seats are made with high-quality fabrics that are free of flame-retardant and PFAS chemicals. However, there are several key differences that you should consider when choosing between the PIPA Aire RX and the PIPA RX based on your lifestyle needs. The first difference is weight. As the name indicates, the PIPA Aire RX is the lighter of the two. The PIPA Aire RX weighs in at 6.2 pounds versus the PIPA RX which weighs in at 7.6 pounds. Both weights are measured without the canopy and inserts.

The second key difference is that these models differ slightly based on their materials and infant inserts. The PIPA Aire RX features infant head and body inserts that are made from a Merino wool and TENCEL™ lyocell fiber blend that is soft, naturally controls moisture, and is environmentally friendly.
