The stems of Mucuna cyclocarpa are clothed in trifoliate pea-like foliage, and in summer are adorned with large clusters of dark purple flowers that resemble ripe grapes. We have yet to have a single seed set without hand pollination, which is great that it remains in place. Thanks to former JCRA director, Dennis Werner, for sharing seed from his self-pollination.
