Morus ssp. 'Illinois Everbearing'

Variety description: Large fruit are consistently ranked as having an excellent flavor. Nearly seedless fruit, mature over a long season; early July through August. Extremely hardy and productive. Thought to be a hybrid between Morus rubra and Morus alba.

Chance seedling discovered by Peter Glaser in White County, Illinois, on the bottom-lands of the Wabash River in 1947. Introduced in 1958 by the Burgess Seed and Plant Co., Galesburg, Michigan. 

Site requirements: Full sun location. Like other fruit trees, mulberries will do well in fertile, well drained soil. Soil pH of 6.5 is ideal.

Hardiness: USDA zones 5-9.

Size at maturity: With training when young and semi-annual pruning, mulberries can be maintained at 15-20'.

Plant size: Grafted tree, 18"-24'' tall with strong central leader. Grown in a MT49 tree pot.

Our eight week old puppy was getting hard to hold without her trying to chew your fingers off. My husband found these bones at a pet store. My little puppy and my five year-old Yorkie both love them so much that I knew we were going to need more right away. I ordered three packs from Amazon. After seeing how many people had problems with their dogs, choking or pieces of the bones breaking off it made me a little nervous. It has worked great for both my five-year-old Yorkie and my little eight week old pup! It has really helped my pup not chew my fingers as well! I think it has really soothed her little gums. Plus, it seems to help build a connection with both dogs. Since I’m holding the bone it’s providing them with something they enjoy and it’s coming from me.
