Tillandsia caput-medusae, aptly named the 'Medusa's Head' air plant, is a truly captivating species that will undoubtedly spark conversation. This unique epiphyte is native to Central America and is prized for its unusual, snake-like leaves and vibrant, tubular flowers.
Care Tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate leaves. An east-facing windowsill is often ideal.
- Water: Mist the plant thoroughly 2-3 times a week, ensuring that excess water drains away. Alternatively, you can soak the plant in a bowl of water for 20-30 minutes once a week. Allow the plant to dry completely before returning it to its display location. This is important to prevent rot, especially in the bulbous base.
- Air Circulation: Good air circulation is crucial for Tillandsias. Ensure that the plant is not placed in a stagnant or enclosed environment. A light breeze or a position near a fan can be beneficial.
- Temperature: Maintain warm temperatures between 15-29°C (59-85°F) for optimal growth. Avoid exposing this tropical gem to cold draughts or frost.
- Fertiliser: Use a diluted bromeliad or orchid fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). This will help to encourage healthy growth and flowering.
- Mounting: Tillandsia caput-medusae can be mounted on various surfaces, such as driftwood, cork bark, or even decorative rocks. Use fishing line, wire, or glue to securely attach the plant to its mount. Be sure to choose a mount that allows for good air circulation around the plant.

Excellent piece
Color: Light Grey, Size: Queen, Color: Light Grey, Size: Queen
Initially I was worried about the cheap feeling material but when I finally decided to take it out of the bag I was impressed by the “fullness”
Of the sheet as it was folded up. Not necessarily sharp and crisp lines but when I was unfolding the sections I was really impressed by the sizing or fit with its deep pockets that cover over my mattress and 5” foundation, the design, and the slightly cool material, despite the wrinkles. This particular light gray of this fabric was one I was looking for for a very long time in mattress protectors, bedsheets, and even iPad cases. I had not found any that were to my liking but this one here by Utopia Bedding is exactly what I was looking for. It definitely sets the tone and mood of my bed and perhaps the overall feel of my bedroom too so it will make it all that much more relaxed and comfortable. It doesn’t seem to fit tightly but it’s long enough to stay in one place.

Soft and Comfy
Color: White, Size: Queen (Pack of 1)
The padding adds just the right amount of softness without making the bed feel too plush or uncomfortable. It fits securely on the mattress and doesn’t slide around during the night, which is something I’ve struggled with using other mattress padsI also appreciate how quiet it is — there’s no crinkling or bunching when moving around. After several washes, it has held up well without shrinking or losing its shape.
Overall, this mattress pad is a great combination of comfort, protection, and durability. It’s an affordable upgrade that made my mattress feel fresher and more supportive. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their sleeping experience.
