A Raw, Organic Masterpiece of Sculptural Elegance
The eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 caused a region that was a haven for planting rice and tropical fruits, into a desert of volcanic debris and ashes. This handmade item, is the result of creating a new industry by the locals living in the ash-stricken areas, to create a steady livelihood for themselves.
Key Features:
- Design and Shape: This work, unlike conventional vases, deliberately unrefined, asymmetrical form to reflect the natural weathering of volcanic rock.
- Color: With a mix of warm gray, beige, and subdued taupe undertones, color lets it naturally fit with many décor types.
- Styling: Perfectly complements seasonal branches, wild grasses, or well chosen natural accents for a classic presentation.
