Philodendron Paraiso Verde is a rare houseplant that has elongated, narrow, wavy, heart-shaped leaves. Its leaves are highly variegated with different shades of green and can grow as long as 10 inches, making this a popular choice for plantitos and plantitas alike.
The variegation on the leaves vary depending on the amount of sunlight the plant receives. Having more indirect sunlight typically results in more variegation. When Paraiso Verde is kept indoors, they are best placed by the window as insufficient exposure to sunlight impedes its growth and causes yellowing of its leaves.
An essential part of caring for Philodendron Paraiso Verde is watering. Rule of thumb is to wait until the top 2-3 inches of the soil has completely dried up before watering again. You don't want to overwater these plants as it can inevitably cause root rot, which is detrimental to your plant's health.
This Paraiso Verde has 6 (turning 7) big leaves, and is potted in plastic pot with leca medium. The best pot for aroids is any from this collection: Glazed Clay Ceramic Planters.
