If you have rooted plants in your aquarium, Easy Root Tabs are a great option to give your plants even more nutrients than substrate and fish waste alone. They're packed with mineralized top soil containing red clay and many other essential minerals plants need to thrive. Unlike many other aquarium root tabs out there, Easy Root Tabs do not contain ammonia-based ingredients and will not cause harmful effects if exposed to the water column. 

Directions/Specifications

Simply insert Easy Root Tabs into your substrate and they will dissolve over time, releasing nutrients for plants to feed on. Insert 1 root tab every 4 to 6 inches in a grid-like pattern. Replace every month or as needed depending on plant usage. Push the root tab at least 1 inch into the substrate for best results.

Hungry Root Feeders

Many plants like Cryptocoryne and sword plants prefer feeding from their roots and need nutrient-rich substrate. If these plants start yellowing and melting back, feed them lots of root tabs to ensure they grow big and healthy leaves.

 


Stronger Roots

When you use root tabs, this encourages the plant to grow stronger and more plentiful root structures. This helps prevent the plant from getting accidentally uprooted by Corydoras and other fish that dig for food.

 


Root Tab Placement

When first planting, place root tabs directly under the plant. Each month you can expand outwards with the root tabs as the roots will continue to stretch out through the substrate. Large plants often need several root tabs — 1 in the center and a few in a circle around the plant.

 


Usable in all Substrates

All substrates can use root tabs. The goal is to have a rich-nutrient substrate that consists of a mix of fish poo and nutrients. Root tabs bring the essential nutrients that can be missing from your fish food. Enriched aqua soils start out as a rich nutrient substrate, but over time the nutrients are consumed and need to be replaced or re-mineralized with root tabs.

As a certified espresso nerd and aficionado, I knew I had to find something to get my fix while traveling on a recent vacation. This portable espresso maker more than fit the bill! Its compact size makes it versatile to carry in a carry-on bag for travel. The rechargeable battery will get you 2-3 shots of espresso depending on if you preheat water or start from cold. When starting from cold it easily heats to 198 when it starts extracting. The machine is easy to use and includes bases for either ground coffee or Nespresso original capsules. I used the capsules on my trip and was more than impressed by the results. The espresso quality is great and clean up is very easy with a simple towel. The battery does take a bit to charge with the included cable, but using a high output usb-c power source makes a world of difference. For the money, it’s a tremendous value.
