To us, the flower heads of Lycoris radiata 'Benikujyaku’ resemble a young Phyllis Diller...does anyone remember Phyllis? After flowering, the dark green, deer-resistant basal leaves emerge in October (NC), and remain green until late spring when they go dormant.
