🌱 Growing instructions
- Dormancy: American Holly seeds have a deep dormancy and require a long, multi-step process for successful germination.
- 1. Soak: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours. Both seeds that float and seeds that sink will be viable.
- 2. Warm Stratification: Place seeds in a moist medium (like sand or peat) in a plastic bag and keep warm (around 70-80°F) for 30-60 days.
- 3. Cold Stratification: After the warm period, move the seeds (still in the moist medium) to the refrigerator (35-40°F) for an additional 60 days.
- Depth: After stratification, sow seeds 3/8 inch deep in a prepared seed bed. Tamp down the soil lightly.
- Care: Keep the area consistently moist and mulch the seed bed. Be aware that germination can be sporadic and may occur over the course of a year.

A must read, One of the most powerful books Ive read.
Format: Paperback
This book has not just impacted me personally, it has influenced my leadership as well. I found so much value in it that I brought it into my workplace. We’ve started using the conversation cards as icebreakers during team meetings, and the shift in engagement has been noticeable. The questions create space for authenticity, vulnerability, and deeper connection among staff. What used to be routine check-ins have become meaningful conversations.
I am even considering using People Skills as our next workplace book club selection because its principles are so relevant to leadership, ministry, and team dynamics.
