Peonies bloom best in well-drained soils in full sun but tolerant some shade as long as they have at least a half-day of sunshine. Good air circulation around the plant is important. Space 2-4 feet apart depending on desired effect. Never plant peonies back in the same location until you have removed soil that was around the original plant and replaced with new soil. We suggest that you work the soil 18 inches deep, into a good loose condition. Incorporate into the hole a mixture of good garden soil and compost. In zones 3-4, place eyes 2 inches deep. In zones 5-6, place eyes 1 inch deep. In zone 7, place eyes just below surface of soil. Work the soil around the roots as you cover the plant. Be sure to pack the soil well. Water well at the time of planting. During the spring months there is usually enough moisture in the ground, but if several weeks pass without rain, give them a good watering once every two weeks. This should also be done during the dry summer months after the peonies have bloomed, to insure a good crop of flowers the following year. Remove spent flowers after bloom. Cut foliage to the ground and remove from the garden in fall after frost. Plants are long-lived, do not need to be divided and can be left undisturbed for years. Ants on peony buds are common and totally harmless. If plants do not flower, possible causes include: (1) planted too deep or too shallow, (2) planted in too much shade, (3) late frost killed flower buds (4) plant is too young or has been recently moved or disturbed or (5) the main reason a peony does not bloom is not sufficient cold to initiate bloom. Newly planted peonies need a protection for the first winter after planting. After the ground has frozen in the fall give them a covering of straw or marsh hay about 3 inches deep. Remove this covering very early spring. Establish plants need no winter protection.E D White MH F. Large, cupped, white guards and a full center of light canary-yellow deepening to a pale green at the base of the petals. Stems erect and strong with excellent foliage. Dependable and profuse bloomer. Notable fragrance. Full sun, zones 3-7. 3-5 eye, bareroot division.

Half gone in the first 45 minutes...
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
our medium sized dog is an aggressive chewer but we expected mire than 3/4 of an hour before the bone's demise. Half gone quickly, heavy stitching included, so threw away the second half for fear of a blockage. Not safe, not durable, disappointing. Sorry, cannot recommend this one.

Puppy loves it!
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
I have a very energetic lab puppy - this chew kept her still for longer than any other toy I’ve tried (besides bully sticks and peanut butter). Highly recommend!

Good for an aggressive chewer
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
My dog loves it. These last a long time. My dog is a Rottweiler/American Bulldog mix, she goes through a lot of toys. So, I try to buy her something that has no stuffing, but will keep her from getting bored. This one has lasted about 6-7 months, the leather is chewed off, but it's still the shape of a bone. I did just order another though, the one she has is a little stinky from her slobber. :-)

Not as expected
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
I have been looking for these ever since we got a similar one at Sierras for our 1 1/2 yo Cane Corso. She is brutal on chew toys and the first one from the box store held up well. However, this did not hold up as well and she was done with it in less than a week. Still looking for that perfect toy.

More durable than expected.
Size: 5 Inch, Color: Raccoon
I was walking through my front room the other day when I noticed a suspicious spot on the floor. It looked like something I should not touch without gloves. As I got closer, I realized what it was. It’s the ‘guts’ from this toy. My dogs (Pit Bull and German Shorthaired Pointer) were each given one. Both are aggressive chewers with their toys. They ATE the faces off these toys and now play with the felt interior. I’m still trying to figure out how they ate through leather while the felt remained intact. Regardless, they still play with them. Now they are basically semi-fuzzy throw toys we can throw in the house because they don’t leave marks on the wall if our aim is off. Sometimes things work out the way they should. :)
