CARE:
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Calathea vittata thrives in medium to low light conditions, making it an excellent choice for indoor spaces with limited sunlight. Avoid direct sun exposure, which can scorch the leaves.
Temperature: Maintain a warm environment with a consistent indoor temperature between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Protect the plant from cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.
Humidity: Calathea vittata enjoys high humidity levels. Increase humidity around the plant by misting the leaves, using a humidity tray, or placing a humidifier nearby.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Use room-temperature water to avoid shocking the plant.
Soil: Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix to ensure proper aeration and drainage for the roots.
