Tradescantia are an easy grow plant requiring bright indirect sun, and watering only when the top half of soil has dried to the touch. Make sure to prune the dead leaves to keep this pretty plant in tip top condition.  

Light: Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Quadricolor’ requires bright indirect light.

Water: likes a damp environment, but can cope with periods of draught also due to the fact they store a relatively high amount of water in their leaves. Give it a bit of a drink once the soil starts to dry out.

Humidity: prefers an area with high humidity but can cope with normal humidity. Mist occasionally to keep the leaves looking nice and fresh.

Origin: Originally native to Central America.

Toxicity: Some Tradescantia species are known to be mildly toxic to Dogs and Cats so be sure to keep out of reach of any curious animals.
