Add some flavor and a splash of color to your salad with popular Red Mustard Greens! These maroon-colored leaves with light green midribs and narrow stems are tender and slow to bolt, making them perfect for winter. Mustard greens have been growing in northern India, near the Himalayan region, for thousands of years and are also widely used in Chinese, Japanese, and African cuisine. Although not very popular in most parts of the United States, mustard greens are an essential part of Southern culture.

To grow Red Giant Mustard Greens, direct sow the seeds in full sun and rich soil about four weeks before the last expected spring frost for a spring crop. Keep the rows 10-12" apart and thin the seedlings to 5-6" apart once they emerge. For a continuous harvest, plant more seeds every 10-14 days. For a fall crop, plant the seeds in late summer or early fall, approximately 10 weeks before the first hard frost. Red Giant Mustard Greens are particularly winter hardy and slow to bolt.

To keep the plants healthy and weed-free, maintain consistent moisture and apply a thick layer of mulch. Pick the leaves when they reach a height of 4-5 inches for baby greens or harvest the entire plant at any point for mature leaves. Avoid yellow leaves, which have passed their prime. Greens can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen when blanched.

If you plan to save seed from Red Mustard Greens, note that they may cross with wild mustard varieties. Cage the plants to protect them if cross-pollination is a concern. Mustard needs to overwinter before producing seed. In warmer locations, apply a thick layer of mulch and remove it in the early spring. In colder areas, dig up the plants and store them at 32-40 degrees F in 80-90 percent humidity until spring when they can be replanted. Allow the plants to flower and go to seed, then remove the seed heads when most of the seed pods have turned brown. Spread the heads out in a dry, well-ventilated place and let them dry for several weeks. Thresh out the seeds and store them in a cool, dry place for up to 4 years.

Lots of Fun!
My Toy Cavapoo loves her bunnies. Good size for small dogs. She enjoys pulling each bunny out and tossing around. Bunnies also squeak which is a big plus for her.

Brilliant fun for dog, except for...
I have a 3yo German Shepherd Dog (GSD) and he can be very hard on toys. On days 1 and 2 he had such fun and we laughed at his good times! Then...Day 3...cue the Jaws Music... While I was away for 10 minutes, he dismantled the ball into tiny pieces! Even so, the ball continued to light up, make sounds and entertain my GSD!! Coolest dog toy ever! If you have a heavy chewer....watch out! Otherwise, I highly recommend!!

Disappointing Dog Toy – Short-Lived and Ineffective
I purchased this dog toy hoping it would keep my dog entertained and engaged, but unfortunately, it has been a huge disappointment. The first one I received only worked for about an hour before completely stopping. I decided to give it another chance and ordered a second one, hoping it was just a fluke. Unfortunately, the second one lasted even shorter—only 30 minutes—before completely ceasing to function. It no longer vibrates, rotates, or interacts in any way. Even when fully charged, the toy barely lights up and doesn’t do anything useful. This is a terrible product, and I’m genuinely shocked by the positive reviews. Save your money—this toy is not worth it.

My dog loves it
My Aussie loves it and he is a tough chewer as well, so it goes great with his hyper reactive personality. Durability could have been a little better, sometimes I have to take it apart and make sure it’s still in a good position because my dog will pick it up and drop it. With no cushion it did start malfunctioning at about 2 weeks. However, it does still work fine and he loves it even without the movement. Note if you put it in a sock to protect it, my dog goes dangerous and held the sock and created a slingshot lol.

My Rottweiler loves it!
My Rottie plays with this for hours at a time! He loves it! It fun to watch too! The plastic is high quality and has lasted for 2 weeks, so far. That pretty good for a Rottie toy! He loves the lights, vibration, and the fact that it rolls away. So fun!
