Palm-leaf False Shamrock Plant, or Oxalis palmifrons, is a rare and distinctive species, known for its charming mini palmate leaves that fan out like tiny hands, adding texture and character to any collection. This unique plant thrives in bright light, making a sunny windowsill ideal, though in hot climates some afternoon shade may be beneficial. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings during the growing season to support its natural rhythm. In summer, the plant will enter dormancy, during which the soil should be kept mostly dry. It re-emerges in late fall with fresh new growth and light lavender pink flowers ready to brighten your collection again.
