Description: The calla lily (Zantedeschia spp.) is a popular flowering plant known for its elegant and distinctive trumpet-shaped flowers
- Appearance: Calla lilies have large, glossy, arrow-shaped leaves and a central funnel-shaped bloom called a spathe that surrounds a finger-like spadix. The spathe is often white, but there are also varieties in shades of yellow, pink, lavender, and even dark purple.
- Varieties: There are several species and hybrids of calla lilies. Some common varieties include the white 'Green Goddess,' the pink 'Regal,' and the dark purple 'Black Magic.'
- Cultural Symbolism: Calla lilies are often associated with purity, faithfulness, and rebirth. They are popular choices for weddings and other special occasions.
-
Growing Conditions:
- Sunlight: Calla lilies prefer partial shade but can tolerate full sun.
- Soil: Well-draining, rich soil is ideal for calla lilies.
- Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged.
- Temperature: They thrive in temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C).
- Propagation: Calla lilies can be propagated through division of rhizomes or by planting seeds. Division is the most common method and is typically done when the plant is dormant.
-
Care and Maintenance:
- Remove dead or yellowing leaves regularly.
- Fertilize during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
- Mulch can help retain moisture and control weeds.
- Indoor Growing: Calla lilies can be grown indoors in containers. Provide them with bright, indirect light and well-draining potting mix.
- Caution: While calla lilies are admired for their beauty, it's essential to note that all parts of the plant contain calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation if ingested. Keep them away from pets and small children.
- Cut Flowers: Calla lilies are popular as cut flowers in floral arrangements due to their elegant appearance and long vase life.

A foaming cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin!
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I have very dry, reactive skin and initially looked past this face wash because it is foaming which is usually a no-go for my skin. I am pleasantly surprised with how well my skin tolerated this product. No dryness or irritation and my face felt clean. I also love that it is fragrance free because fragrances seem to really irritate my skin and who needs to smell their face wash? I am happy to say this is another great product from Avene!

Gentle cleanser for dry and sensitive skin.
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser, Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I have dry and sensitive skin, and this cleanser has worked very well for me. It is very gentle on the skin and has not caused any irritation.
The texture is light and foamy, it spreads easily across the face and rinses off without leaving any residue. After using it, my skin feels clean, soft, and comfortable, without any tightness.
The size is quite large, which I find great because it lasts a long time with daily use.
Overall, a simple but very pleasant cleanser for sensitive skin.

Exquisite, Perfection, Stunning!

Perfect in every way! I bought this statue to go in a special place in my backyard. But, once I opened it up and saw how beautiful it is, I changed my mind! I have it sitting right in the center of our fireplace mantel, with a candle on each side. The detail is PERFECT, and there is not one flaw to be seen anywhere! Before I bought it, I noticed that one person was critical of it, and I think they were saying that it had some imperfections. But, the one I got is truly perfect, exquisite! It arrived quickly, in just a few days. It is packaged in a thick styrofoam that gives it maximum protection. If you are thinking about buying one of these, I would recommend it highly! What's not to love?
