Planting Instructions
Bare soil vs. overseeding matters — but both are possible.
All Earthwise seed mixes can be planted into prepared bare soil or overseeded into an existing lawn. The right approach depends on your starting point, timeline, and goals.
- Bare soil planting offers the fastest, most uniform establishment
- Overseeding allows your lawn to transition naturally over time, working with your existing grass and soil ecosystem
Identifying whether you’re starting fresh or enhancing what’s already growing will help you get the best results.
