The annual Ice Plant Dorotheanthus bellidiformis commonly known as the Livingstone Daisy is native to South Africa, and grows well in a hot, dry environment.

It looks great along walkways by creating colorful carpets all summer long. 

Livingstone daisies have succulent leaves up to 3 inches long. Flowers have dark centers and are colored pink, white, purple, lavender, crimson, or orange. Plants grow up to 8 inches high and spread to 12 inches wide.

The red/purple fruit is edible with a sweet/salty taste.

Deadhead flowers regularly to prolong flowering. Deadheading daisies not only improves their overall appearance, but will also inhibit seed production and stimulate new growth, which encourages additional blooms. By deadheading regularly, you can extend the flowering season.

Livingstone Daisy attracts bees and other pollinators.

Sow outside: 1 - 2 weeks before your last frost date. In mild climate, sow later summer to fall for blossom in winter and spring.

Sow inside: 6 - 8 weeks before last frost in your region. Sow seed in cell packs or flats, using a sterile packaged seed starting mix. Press the seeds into soil, do not cover. Seed spacing: a group of 3 seeds every 10". Keep soil moist at 70° F., germination time is 7-28 days. Seeds are very tiny and germinate best in darkness. Cover seed tray with black plastic until seedlings emerge. Transplant seedlings once they are 2 inches tall and space them 12 inches apart. Apply a slow-release fertilizer when transplanting.

Installed these on my Bronco as ditch lights. Very bright light and I like that you can have them be white or put the cover on them for and amber light look. I have had man different off road lights over the years for many different vehicles. Let me tell you about these 5” aux beams. I ordered these lights to go on my 2500 as ditch lights and I am beyond impressed! The lights showed up well packaged. When opening the box, the instructions where right on top and by far one if the easiest sets of instructions I’ve had for wiring diagrams. The lights were packaged and wrapped in foam all the way around to protect them from shipping. The wrapping of the lenses for scratch prevention was perfect. The included wiring harness was packed in a bag and laid out very easily for installation. The harness hooked to the battery and then to the lights with easy quick connects and had more than enough length to put the lights anywhere. Once they were mounted and installed I hooked them up to my aux beams switch panel with ease. Now for the lights! The brightness is beyond bright enough to see miles away! These lights will shine anything you could ever want to see. The spot flood combo work exceptionally well for all situations and darkness. The side shooter stretch them beam out to the sites and can see all the way across. The running lights tie in very easy with your turn signals for extra turn lights or running lights. Heavy duty is an understatement for the quality of these lights. I’m still running them after several months with no water intrusion and still as bright as the day I installed them. The price for what you get, is far beyond better than other top brands! I will be buying more of these for my next off roading set up!

Not as bright as the graph says they are, or maybe I'm not in a dark enough area at night. But they definitely are blinding. Were too big for my adv bike unfortunately, but they work good on my truck as ditch lights. Not too bulky looking like the cubes are and no wind noise that I can hear. Definitely lights up the wma trails and the side shooters are very helpful. I will note though that as soon as your hood gets dusty it becomes blinding from the inside side shooters though. so I painted the yellow lens cover on the inside sides and it helps a lot with the hood glare.
