Designed by Jens Quistgaard (the genius behind Dansk) for Nissen Langaa, this ultra-sculptural 1960s Stokkestol (Stick chair) or simple Stokke Chair is the kind of piece that stops collectors mid-scroll. The rosewood rails are all-original with some great patina--  gloriously grained, cradled by gently flexing aluminum side frames. Tension, balance, and pure Nordic poetry.

This example has been reupholstered in real Mongolian sheepskin (not faux, the real-deal long-hair fluff), adding a tactile, glamorous, Nordic edge to an already iconic silhouette. Label intact on the underside: Nissen Langaa, Denmark / Jens H. Quistgaard.

True collector’s piece.
Rosewood + aluminum frame in good original condition.
Professionally reupholstered in luxe Mongolian sheepskin.
As cozy as it is covetable.

Sure this chair is museum-worthy, but you’re definitely going to want this one in your reading nook.

Jens Quistgaard may be best known for redefining American kitchens with his iconic designs for Dansk, but his furniture designs for Danish manufacturer Nissen Langaa are far more elusive and rare. The “Stokke” chair (often confused with later Scandinavian pieces) was never mass-produced and was likely a low-run or prototype series from the late 1960s.

These chairs rarely surface on the market, and when they do, they're snapped up immediately. A striking fusion of organic modernism and Danish industrial design, it reflects the sculptural ingenuity Quistgaard brought to every medium he touched.

This isn’t just a chair. It’s a piece of design history.

This chair is currently in our gallery alongside a Vladimir Kagan serpentine sofa, a Finn Juhl credeinza and a Hans Wegner Papa Bear chair and not only does this chair make a statement, it steals the show! The only thing missing from this tableau is a fluffy retriever, a glass of wine and a good book!

Perfect for Blind Dogs, Fun and Durable
Size: 2-pack, Style: Duo
My blind dog loves these Chuckit! sniff balls. She can easily sniff them out and plays fetch with them for 20 minutes a day, even running up and down the stairs. The balls are durable, bounce well, and the bacon and peanut butter scent keeps her engaged. I do wish Chuckit! would bring back the version with a tone so we could play fetch outside more easily. Overall, a fantastic toy for dogs that rely on scent and a fun way to keep them active.

Size: 2-pack, Style: Duo
My 8 month old Golden Retriever loves these. It is also one of the few products she cannot destroy. They smell as described and she loves to chew them and play fetch when. She can chew these easily without destroying them. Overall good value for the money for my Golden

Not Scented, but Dog Approved
Size: 2-pack, Style: Duo
They don't smell like peanut butter or bacon. But our dogs still love them.

If they squeaked, they would be the perfect ball!
Size: 2-pack, Style: Duo
I bought our 15 month old Coton several Chuck-It toys on an Amazon deal. He is incredibly playful, mischievous, and ball/toy obsessed, especially for anything that makes noise. He can also be very destructive so I love how durable most of their products are - they’re among our longest lasting toys and worth every penny. We have yet to take them to the dog park, but they’re a perfect size for sharing in plat time. And they are keeping him busy at home - that’s a good thing. The scent is subtle but strong enough for him I guess because he loves gnawing on them. If they had squeakers, they would be absolutely perfect. Hopefully Chuck-It will see an opportunity for that down the road!
