It is preferable that the soil does not contain much organic material, such as peat moss and that the plant is not fertilized with heavy nitrogen as this can cause an explosion of soft, flabby growth that can make the plant prone to bacterial rots. Decomposed granite is often an excellent media as it has many trace minerals and is similar to the South African quartz fields where these and others of the "Stone Mimicry" are found growing. Beautiful Retelling of the Christmas Story
Format: Hardcover
I've really appreciated reading from The First Nations Version over the last couple of years, and I'm excited for this book to make it easier to share with a younger audience! One of the things I appreciate about the FNV is how well it flows as a story, and this picture book is no different. It transitions smoothly from the Luke portion to Matthew. The illustrations are lovely watercolors and give me new imagination for Jesus coming for all people. I already bought copies for my nephews, and I'm looking forward to giving them to them for the Christmas season.
