  •  The 'Jade Satin' is a specific cultivar of Epipremnum aureum, commonly known as Pothos or Devil's Ivy. This plant belongs to the Araceae family and is beloved for its trailing growth habit.

Like most Pothos varieties, the parent species (Epipremnum aureum) is native to the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia, particularly the Solomon Islands, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

The defining characteristic of the 'Jade Satin' is its thick, velvety, and deeply saturated dark green leaves. Unlike many other Pothos varieties that are variegated (like 'Marble Queen' or 'Neon'), the 'Jade Satin' features solid, uniform color with a distinctive, matte, and almost luminous satin finish, giving it a luxurious appearance. The texture is often described as feeling substantial and almost waxy.

  • Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its growth and rich color. It can tolerate lower light, but growth will slow significantly.

Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of soil to dry out completely between waterings. It is highly susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Reduce frequency significantly in winter.

Use a well-draining, airy potting mix.

This plant thrives in warm, indoor environments between of 65 °F- 80 °F.

All around helpful---worth the money!
Format: Paperback
This guide has been most helpful for all the folks I help prepare for the iTEP test! It gives insight into what each section of the test is looking for along with examples and great tips about actually TAKING the test. In the Writing and Speaking sections, it also gives sample scores and comments from the Master Grader which is very helpful too.
