Chinese evergreen houseplants originate in the tropics of Asia and love warm, humid environments. They look wonderfully aesthetic grown in any room of the house including bedrooms, offices, bathrooms, or living rooms.  

Chinese Evergreen Care Guide

As a mature plant, the Chinese evergreen size can grow up to 2-3 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. Best kept in containers where the small size can be maintained. Be sure to choose a pot with a drainage hole to avoid root rot.

Chinese evergreen light requires bright indirect light levels to thrive. A south or east facing window is preferred but be sure to choose a spot that is protected from the direct sun. The warm rays can scorch the green variegated leaves if left in direct light conditions for too long. 

Chinese evergreen watering should take place as soon as the top 1-2 inches of top potting soil feels dry to touch. Typically depending on temperature and humidity inside your home, this will happen about once a week. Watering can be significantly decreased during the winter months when the aglaonema plant is not in its active growing season. 

You should practice pruning Chinese evergreens annually to remove any dead or underperforming leaves. Yellow or brown foliage is typically a sign of under or overwatering. 

Chinese evergreen soil needs to be well draining and slightly acidic. Amendments like perlite and peat moss are a wonderful addition to add to your potting mix to help with aeration and drainage.

Received giftcard money to replace my plan-protected malfunctioning motherboard
I've been subscribing to the Asurion protection plan for a while. Recently, an Asus Prime PC motherboard I had bought a few months ago on Amazon stopped working well. I ended up considering filing a claim with Asurion to see if they would either fix/replace it or issue the purchase price money, so I could buy the failed electronics replacement component again for my custom-built PC. I went to the protection plan's website and started the claim filing process but couldn't find the category my failed component would be under in order to select it from the drop-down list. I ended up messaging the live customer service. The chat messaging was somewhat slow, the agent told me they were experiencing some communication delays throughout their systems. Ultimately, the agent was very kind and understanding, and completed the claim filing process for me on her side by asking me to provide the necessary info such as the item's product name, date of purchase, price before taxes, etc. I received a printable UPS shipping label in the email, printed it, and returned the item in the mail. Approximately 2 days later, I received an Amazon giftcard code in the email with the dollar amount equal to the item's price before the sales tax. Then I redeemed the giftcard code on the Amazon page and proceeded to apply the giftcard money to my next purchase of a replacement Asus prime motherboard, and it all worked out successfully. Therefore, I had no issues with the protection plan service and recommend it to others.

The process was very smooth and fairly quick. The only challenge I had was that the CLAIM status showed complete but I had to manually go look up the status. There was no email or notification it was closed. After manually checking the status, I called customer support and they said since I called in, they would process the payout. I wonder if I didnt call in if they would have processed it? Nice to know you have full protection
After a sever thunderstorm took out my cable modem, It was nice to be assured I had replacement coverage for it. Filing the claim was effortless and the process to return the item was no issue at all. My only concern is that the cable modem is a CRITICAL piece of equipment for any individual or business. A sense of urgency on the behalf of Asurion to recognize this and expedite the replacement process would have been appreciated. No technician repairs these modems.
