We have always had better luck planting Dahlia seeds than store bought tubers. It's best to start these early in winter in 4" pots about 1-2 months before your last frost in the spring, but don't let them get root bound in the pot as this will stunt growth. We do sneak them into our garden early in zone 7 here in March, but will cover them if we get a frost as the earlier you can get them in the ground the more fully double flowers they will produce. They dislike soggy conditions so make sure your garden bed is raised and not in a low spot in your garden area. You can also direct seed them in spring after your last frost but they will show up much later in early summer and you will get mostly semi-double flowers.
At the end of the growing season you can let the flower heads dry on the stems and collect seeds or dig up the tubers and store them over winter. If you use the tubers next spring you will also get more fully double flowers.
There are lot's of videos on line about Dahlia tubers but we dig them up in late fall and don't wash them. We let them fully dry and store them, with the dirt on them, in 5 gallon buckets that are covered with a towel in our garage. Don't let them freeze or they will die. In winter we then start these tubers in pots so they can get an early start, but we also start a few by seed.

Pretty Shine but Not Very Hydrating

I tried the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Tinted Lip hoping for both hydration and color, and my experience was mixed.
The tint and shine are really nice — it gives a glossy, wearable color that makes lips look bright without being too bold. It provides a light sheer stain that lasts a bit longer than a basic clear gloss, so you still get color even after the shine fades.
However, the product didn’t hydrate my lips the way I expected based on the “Hydro Boost” name. If your lips are already dry or chapped, this doesn’t provide long-lasting moisture on its own. I still needed to use a separate lip balm underneath for real hydration.
The tube itself is small, which makes it easy to throw in a purse, but it also feels like it doesn’t last very long — especially if you wear it often. The smell is mild and pleasant, not overpowering, and doesn’t linger in a way that bothers me.
Pros:
• Nice sheer tint with glossy shine
• Light stain effect that sticks around a bit
• Mild, pleasant smell
• Convenient small tube for on-the-go
Cons:
• Not very hydrating on its own
• Small size feels like it runs out quickly
Overall, I like this for everyday color and shine, but don’t expect it to replace a real moisturizing lip balm — it’s more of a tinted gloss with a light stain.

Reliable protection that stays put during workouts!

I’ve tried many expensive name-brand sunscreens, but this Amazon Basics version performs just as well, if not better. It’s become my go-to for morning runs and trips to the beach because it actually stays on even when I’m sweating.
Why I gave it 5 stars:
Non-Greasy Formula: Unlike other sport sunscreens, this one absorbs quickly and doesn't leave that heavy, sticky film on my skin.
Actually Water Resistant: I’ve used it for laps in the pool and long hikes; as long as I reapply as directed, I haven't had a single sunburn.
No "Sting": One of the best things is that it doesn't run into my eyes and sting when I start to sweat—a huge plus for runners.
Great Value: You get a generous 8-ounce bottle for a fraction of the price of "premium" brands. The fact that it’s formulated without Oxybenzone is an added bonus for peace of mind.

Great value and very practical

This sunscreen is a great value for the price. The SPF 50 protection works well and the lotion applies smoothly without feeling too greasy. It absorbs nicely and provides good coverage for outdoor activities.

I believe it is equal to the name brands
It is 50 SPF Sun Protection Factor so it offers strong UV A and UV B protection which are the 2 ranges of sun rays that do the skin damage and burning.
It is an easily absorbed lotion that when rubbed goes into the skin and is not visible. It is thick and goes on with a non shiny, non greasy, solid thick feeling which is what we need for it to stay on as long as possible.
It feels good after being rubbed in in that it feels dry and not overly greasy or with no shine and sheen.
It is a good product and offers burn protection to me in some clear-sky strong sun uses.
Reapply after entering the pool water or swimming laps and after an hour (all sunscreen labels say reapply after 80 minutes which I believe is per recommendations of the federal FDA or some medical studies).
I reapply often and I still get tanned but I do not want to burn.
