It occurs in nature in reds, pinks and whites, but seed available for today’s meadows is usually all red. The native species has been hybridized heavily into a rainbow of various annual phlox colors. (Not to be confused with creeping phlox, a perennial species.) Drummond phlox today is established along sandy roadsides all the way from Canada into central Florida. A great meadow plant.
