In a border or terraced planter, over time, the rosettes will spread to form a green-purple mat, like a miniature groundcover. White hairs, a common Anacampseros trait, add interest. While it should do well in filtered light, more direct light will have its olive-green leaves turning purple to reddish-brown. And then there's the flowers! • Humidity: These plants prefer low-humidity environments. If indoor humidity is high, ensure good air circulation around the plants to help keep moisture levels down.
• Fertilizing: Feed sparingly, only during the growing season (spring and summer), using a balanced, low-nitrogen fertilizer diluted to about half the recommended strength.
