Brighten your garden and support pollinators with Lemon Queen Sunflower Seeds, an heirloom non-GMO variety known for its soft lemon-yellow petals and contrasting dark centers. These graceful, branching sunflowers grow 5–7 feet tall, producing multiple blooms per plant from midsummer through fall for a continuous display of cheerful color.

Pollinator-Friendly, Beautiful, and Productive:

  • Produces abundant lemon-yellow blooms that attract bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects.
  • Branching habit creates long-lasting color and multiple blooms per stem.
  • Excellent choice for pollinator gardens, wildlife plantings, and cut flower arrangements.
  • Provides nectar and pollen all season, followed by seed heads that feed birds in fall and winter.

Why Gardeners Love Lemon Queen Sunflowers:

  • Cheerful Blooms – Light yellow petals and dark centers bring brightness and charm to any garden.
  • Pollinator Magnet – Featured in the Great Sunflower Project for its ability to attract bees.
  • Extended Bloom Time – Flowers continuously from summer into fall.
  • Easy to Grow – Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil across USDA Zones 3–11.
  • Drought Tolerant – Low-maintenance and reliable even in warm, dry conditions.

How to Grow Lemon Queen Sunflowers:

  • When to Plant: Sow directly outdoors after the last frost when soil warms to 60°F (16°C) or higher.
  • Soil & Sun: Prefers full sun and average, well-drained soil; amend with compost if needed.
  • Spacing: Allow 18–24 inches between plants for optimal branching.
  • Watering: Keep soil evenly moist until established; then water moderately as needed.
  • Bloom & Maturity: Flowers appear in 90–100 days, blooming from mid-summer through fall.

Harvest & Use:
Lemon Queen sunflowers are ideal for cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and wildlife-friendly plantings. Harvest when blooms are fully open for arrangements, or allow them to mature on the stalk to dry naturally and provide food for birds. Their elegant height and soft yellow hues make them a favorite for both beauty and biodiversity.

Needs to be updated
Format: Hardcover
Excellent book, but now that it is 2019, it needs to be updated to reflect the current health care system. This book details average inpatient hospitalization stays as 10-90 days. The current average length of stay at an inpatient hospital is 3-15 days. So a lot of the information about how to run groups was not as applicable now - in the book, it assumed patients would be together in groups for weeks, but the reality is that sometimes patients are only together for a day or two.

Yalom Still Rules
Yalom is as relevant today as ever. Writing with art for science, Yalom offers insights and wisdom for clinical group practice that have changed the way I approach my whole life. If you have the luck to read this as an assigned text, you may be relieved by his novelistic approach and his integration of existential philosophy. If you are looking for the deep dive, he’s your guy.

Great buy!
We utilized this text during my Group Psychology course in my masters program. I felt it was very informative and is referred to highly by several of my colleagues. I had sold the text back to my campus book store a few years ago, but have decided I will benefit from having a copy available to me over my development as a professional. The information within this text, specifically the theories described by Yalom, are also incorporated into the state licensure exam, so it is a good reference to have when studying for this exam as well.

Excellent definitive group process textbook - not dry or verbose
Yalom certainly conveys his knowledge, research, and experience clearly in an organized, interesting, and engaging way that makes this textbook easy reading, but not at all simplistic. Had to stop and "chew" on material often to absorb. A must for anyone who has the responsibility of facilitating a therapy group. Not for support group-related work, especially. This is process group 100%.
