Application method

  • Pre emergent Soil application using a knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat fan nozzle /PI spray machine.
  • Apply the herbicide with the recommended quantity of water.

Recommended Dosages:

Crop Pest DOSE (Per Ha)
Wheat Phalaris minor 150 g (127.5 g a.i.)
Maize Echinochloa crusgalli, Eleusine indica, Phyllanthus niruri 150 g (127.5 g a.i.)
Soybean  Echinochloa colonum, Celosia argentia, Trianthema portulacastrum, Amaranthus viridis, Digeria arvensis 150 g (127.5 g a.i.)

Antidote

No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.

Mode of Action

Pyroxasulfone treatment drastically reduces the biosynthesis of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) and causes a build up of fatty acid precursors. Pyroxasulfone specifically inhibits many elongation steps catalyzed by VLCFA elongases.
