Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Vibrant neon-green hybrid
Summary: A radiant hybrid with glowing lime-green leaves, Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ adds instant brightness to any room. This rooted plug (P3, H10 cm) is the perfect start for creating a vibrant, low-maintenance tropical display in your European home.
✨ Why You'll Love the Philodendron ‘Moonlight’
- Brilliant chartreuse foliage that glows in natural light
- Compact, non-climbing Philodendron ideal for desks and shelves
- Low-maintenance and perfect for beginners
- Thrives in indoor environments with moderate light
- Delivered as a healthy, rooted plug ready to pot and grow
🌞 Light & Placement
Enjoys bright, indirect light to maintain its vivid leaf colour. Tolerates medium light but may lose some vibrancy in low-light spaces. Ideal for bright kitchens, living rooms, or offices across Germany and the EU.
💧 Water & Humidity
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feel dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in water. Prefers average household humidity (40–60%) and appreciates occasional misting, especially in winter when indoor air is dry.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Use a loose, well-draining substrate such as an aroid mix with coco coir, perlite, and bark. As a P3 plug plant, pot immediately into a small nursery container. Repot annually as it grows. Our tropical plant soil blend ensures optimal aeration and moisture balance.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ is toxic if ingested by pets or humans. Keep safely out of reach of curious cats and dogs.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Moderate grower with compact, upright form. Mature plants can reach 40–60 cm tall. Propagate by division or stem cuttings during the growing season. New growth emerges in bright lime tones before deepening to vivid green.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer to support lush growth. In winter, reduce watering and avoid cold drafts. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep their glossy, reflective surface clean.
🐛 Common Issues
- Yellowing leaves → overwatering or poor drainage
- Pale growth → insufficient light
- Watch for spider mites or aphids on new growth
🧬 Botanical Background
Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ is a popular hybrid from the Araceae family, prized for its luminous foliage and compact growth habit. Its easy-going nature and vibrant tones make it one of the best choices for brightening modern European interiors.
