Blue Pearl is a Sedum hybrid developed by Chris Hansen, a plant breeder fascinated with these ultra-hardy perennials. This perennial succulent belongs to the sedum or stonecrop family. This moderate grower attains a height of about 6″ inches and a spread of 18″ to 20″ inches.

The foliage of Blue Pearl is a distinctive, deep purplish-blue. Several non-patented varieties are deep, bluish-green. Late in summer, Blue Pearl produces beautiful clusters of showy pink flowers atop strong stems. The fragrant blossoms are attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. Because they are late-blooming, they provide an important source of pre-winter nourishment for these creatures.

Intense Blue Pearl makes this unique new selection a great choice for landscape or patio. Remains colorful all summer long, unlike other varieties. Large, contrasting hot pink flower clusters dance above the foliage in late summer. Useful as a colorful ground cover or feature in a rock garden or container.

Care Tips

Light: Blue Pearl is more like semi-shade, exposure to sunlight may burn the beads, too little light is not strong growth. When raising them indoors, you can put them on the balcony and ensure that they get more than three hours of light a day, but be careful to avoid direct sunlight when attacking them.

Water: It mainly depends on the dryness of the soil. It is a succulent leaf, juicy and drought tolerant, usually the potting soil is almost dry before watering. It should be watered properly during the week, usually after the soil has dried out, so that the water is not excessive. Also, watering should be reduced in summer and winter because it is in a dormant state.

Soil: The preferred soil has loose characteristics because the roots of Blue Pearl need a lot of oxygen, which tends to rot in soggy, stuffy soil, and insufficient oxygen can breed a lot of anaerobic bacteria. The soil chosen should also have good drainage and at the same time have some water holding capacity.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots, ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability, clay pots lose water too fast, plastic pots retain water too strong, and poor permeability.

Temperature: The growing temperature is 59-77°F (15-25℃), with spring and summer being the peak growing seasons. Winter temperatures should not fall below 41°F (5℃), which can easily frostbite the leaves and tubers and cause the plant to die. If possible, place the plant outside in a ventilated place and move it indoors in winter.

Humidity: Blue Pearl grows well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors. Does not like too much humidity. Normal household humidity is good for this plant.

    Care Instructions

Please visit our Succulent Care info page for more details.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.

Pampers Baby Dry are actually good again! Major upgrade.
Size: Size 3, Unit Count: 168
I’ve used Baby Dry off and on for a while, but the new “improved” version is a huge step up from the old design. They used to feel kind of generic, thin, boxy, and not great for active toddlers, but now they’re a real contender next to Swaddlers and Huggies Little Movers. What’s new: • The shape is much more like Swaddlers, snugger around the hips and legs, less floppy in the front. • Tabs are noticeably stronger and stretchier. • The inside has a new ultra cushiony top layer that feels soft and plush, not papery. • They seem to have a slightly faster and more even absorbency, too. • Still the same cute Sesame Street prints and blue inner layer, but the overall fit and quality feel more “premium.” Size-wise, the new Baby Dry run a bit larger than Huggies size 3 but a touch smaller than Swaddlers size 3 so a great in-between fit. For parents like us who can’t use 360-style pull-ons at daycare, these are perfect. They have tabs, fit toddlers well, and hold up to big pees without the sag or stiffness the old Baby Dry had. Bottom line: a big win for Pampers these finally feel like a proper toddler diaper, not an expensive generic. Highly recommend giving them another try if you haven’t used them recently!

Reliable overnight protection with minimal leaks
Size: Size 6, Unit Count: 112
These have been very reliable for overnight use. They hold a lot without leaking, even after a full night of sleep. The fit is secure around the legs and waist without leaving marks. I also appreciate that they don’t have a strong scent. Compared to other brands I’ve tried, these seem to last longer before needing a change. Only minor downside is they can feel a bit bulky when very full, but that’s expected for the absorbency.

      Just works for us!
Size: Size 1, Unit Count: 44
Had to transfer from Huggies and Pura because our son kept leaking through those, despite trying all the tips and tricks. Needless to say we’re really pleased with these! They’re WAY more absorbent. Only downside is that it’s not designed for sensitive skin, but diaper rash cream always does the trick for our little guy

Def my fave amongst the diapers, parents choice leak and these just don’t do that and they don’t leave a rash like some other off brands do

Outstanding, top of the line diaper!
Size: Size 1, Unit Count: 252
We normally use Huggies Little Movers with our 3.5 year old (nothing against them, they're also great diapers) but recently decided to give Swaddlers a try, and will not be going back. This is a top-of-the-line diaper and excels in all ways. We use a size 7 though could *probably* get away with a size 6, and use about 4-5 diapers a day on average (not including his overnight diaper) depending on how much he's had to drink and how often he poops -usually once a day, but could be as many as 3 times, especially if he doesn't go one day. The first thing you notice about these diapers is how soft they are. I mean, they just feel like they would be comfortable on a child, and since they're in them practically 24/7, that's important. The diaper is mostly white, and the overall designs are more muted than a lot of other diapers, with "Shilo and Friends" -an elephant and duck - on the front and back. I personally wouldn't mind something bolder, I don't think my child cares or even notices. There is a wetness indicator that goes down the length of the diaper, front and back. Nice to have I suppose for a caregiver who maybe doesn't change a lot of diapers, but at this age and stage, it's easy to know and tell. Like all Pampers diapers, they are scented. I happen to love the gentle powder-like scent, but it's a turn-off to some who describe it as too strong, and of course, if your child is sensitive to that, you may want to avoid Pampers diapers. Inside, the top sheet liner keeps his skin dry, even when he wets heavily -which is usually - and does a good job of keeping poop from sticking to his bottom. The "blowout barrier" in the back also helps contain any messes. In terms of absorbency, I'm pretty amazed at how much they can hold. Being a little older, he tends to stay drier for longer periods and then pee a larger amount at one time, but the diaper almost always holds it in, and leaks are rare. The one thing I wish that Pampers did do was have wider tapes, like Huggies, at least on the larger sizes, where kids are more active. It hasn't been a problem, so I don't really have a reason for saying that, other than that it seems like it would help with fit, but it certainly won't keep me from buying or using them in the future.
