How to Care

The Chinese fan palm tends to be easy to care for. It is adaptable and tolerant.

Outdoors, this palm tree grows in full sun to part shade. It prefers some shade when young. Indoors, bright, indirect light is best for keeping the Chinese fan palm happy. Rotate the pot every so often for even growth.

Potted plants should be grown in a well-draining organic planting mix in a container with good drainage.

Allow the soil to begin to dry before watering your fan palm. This houseplant is drought tolerant, but the soil shouldn’t be bone dry. Avoid over-watering this plant or allowing the roots to sit in water.

This plant likes nutrients and without plant food it can develop deficiencies. Feed outdoor plants twice yearly and indoor plants 3 to 4 times yearly with a balanced, slow release fertilizer.

Pruning isn’t necessary, but feel free to prune back dead/dying leaves. This will help encourage new growth.

Avoid putting your houseplant nearby any drafts when growing indoors.

*The Chinese fan palm is native to China, but has become naturalized in some areas of the United States. It is considered invasive in Florida and Hawaii.

Nice heavy leather with a pebbled look - limited storage

This is a pebbled leather wallet from Carhartt. I got the brown version and it is a sturdy thicker type of leather than my other wallets. It has a real leather smell and I like the stitching on it as well as the branded carhartt logo on the front lower corner. Things to be aware of that I wish were a bit better. The wallet is on the small side of the spectrum, the area where you keep paper money is just the one compartment, there is no divider like many wallets have. Also, the left inside of the wallet has the clear window where you usually put your photo-id . In this window it is actually a brown mesh rather than a clear plastic so if showing an id you will likely have to take it out each time instead of flashing it. Also, there is not an area behind the "pocket" for the license and the right side just has 3 credit card slots. These are not necessarily bad things but if you are used to carrying around a lot of cards this one may be a challenge. The quality and thickness of the leather give it a nice western look. I will use this wallet when I dont have to carry too much. If you carry a lot of cash this isn't the best but most these days just need a couple of credit cards and a license and this works well for that.

Rugged, Practical, and Built to Last

I’ve been using this Carhartt full grain leather wallet for a while now, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from the brand—tough, reliable, and no-nonsense. The leather has a really nice feel right out of the box, and over time it’s developed a great patina that gives it that broken-in, worn-in look without feeling worn out. I work in a pretty hands-on environment, so my wallet takes a beating being in and out of pockets, around dust, dirt, and everything else—and this one holds up without any issues. The stitching is solid, and the leather doesn’t feel like it’s going to crack or fall apart like some cheaper wallets I’ve had in the past. I went with the bifold style, and it has plenty of room for cards, cash, and IDs without feeling bulky. It strikes a good balance between capacity and comfort in your pocket. Everything stays secure, and it doesn’t stretch out too quickly either. Overall, if you want a durable, good-looking wallet that actually gets better with age, this is a solid choice. Unless you're buying it for a child, I'd pass on this one.

Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with this item. It's literally just 2 pieces of leather sewn together. Very flimsy, and all edges are raw/unfinished. The reason it's still getting a couple star rating is because it is a good size for a standard wallet, and it would be comfortable as it is so floppy, but you could probably expect to end up with bent or broken credit cards because of that. Overall I'd say your just paying for the name on this one and I'd pass unless you can get it for super cheap, for there's no way this thing is going to last the test of time.
