Kalanchoe tomentosa ‘Teddy Bear’ is a rounder, thicker-leaved form (or “sport”) of K. tomentosa ‘Chocolate Soldier’, discovered on Altman Plants growing grounds. Flowers are small, but are quite uniquely, attractively furry, bell shaped and golden ginger in color. Like other K. tomentosa varieties, ‘Teddy Bear’ is about as touch-friendly as they come. Acorn is just a great company all around. I had bought my husband these slippers over 20 years ago. They are still in great shape although the sole has worn in some places.
