Cordyline banksii 'Electric Pink' is a visually stunning evergreen cultivar from New Zealand, known for its vibrant, hot pink and purple sword-like foliage. This colourful plant creates a striking focal point in any garden, whether planted in borders, garden beds, or large pots. Its clumping habit and architectural appeal make it suitable for both contemporary and traditional landscapes.
In Perth’s climate, 'Electric Pink' performs best in full sun to part shade, thriving in well-drained soil. Once established, it demonstrates moderate drought tolerance, though it will benefit from occasional watering during extended dry periods, especially in Birak (Early Summer) and Bunuru (Late Summer). This low-maintenance plant provides year-round interest, with added seasonal charm in Kambarang (Late Spring) to Birak (Early Summer) when it may produce clusters of white flowers.
