Making new plants
It fits suitable cuttings that are going into a propagation medium and need a tidy powder format. Clean cuts, fresh medium and stable humidity still do most of the work.
After propagation
Once a cutting has roots and starts growing, move into gentle normal care. Rooting powder is a one-stage tool, not a product to treat like plant food.
