Philodendron Jungle Fever Variegated is a hybrid thought to originate from a natural cross between Philodendron pinnatifidum and Philodendron giganteum, though this lineage remains unconfirmed. The plant is known for its bold and highly variable variegation, which appears as blocky patches or splashes of color in shades of green, yellow, and cream. 

Some sellers often also refer to the philodendron snowdrift as a jungle fever, though this is incorrect as they are two distinctly different plants. Jungle Fever's variegation features larger, irregular blocks of color and a broader palette, while Snow Drift exhibits a more consistent pattern of white with green speckles. There is also a notable difference between the leaf shapes.

Two forms of variegation are observed in Jungle Fever: one showcasing large, vivid yellow sections, and another with more delicate, striated variegation.
