Why ‘Bluey’  For its striking blue foliage, hence the name.

Getting Started  This Eucalyptus is adaptable to a wide variety of climates, but can struggle under high heat and high humidity conditions.  Can easily be grown as a tall shrub or small tree.

Size  One of the smaller growing selections, all grown up 'Bluey' could reach 15 feet tall. That said, it responds very well to pruning for size control.  

Leaf  The choice for most floral arrangements.  Intense silver-blue leaves that appear to "grasp" the stems!  

Trunk & Bark  Smooth, silver-grey with olive, gold, and russet hues

Flower  Profuse small white flowers 

Exposure  Full sun in cooler climates. Some afternoon shade or filtered sun will be appreciated in hotter climates

What we learned in Southern Euc Trials  In McDonough, GA (zone 8A), 2 year old Eucalyptus trees had minimal leaf damage and looked great following winters where temps reached 13 degrees.
