Anthurium ‘Delta Force’

Anthurium ‘Delta Force’ has leaves that are broad near the top and narrow to a point. On young plants, the triangular shape may take a few leaves to show clearly.

It grows from a central crown, with structured leaves and strong roots. Pale veins run across the dark green blade, and new leaves come from the centre of the plant.

Shape and growth

  • Deltoid leaves with a narrow pointed tip
  • Broad upper blade and tapered lower section
  • Pale veins over dark green foliage
  • Compact central crown with strong roots

Care notes

  • Light: Bright indirect light helps new leaves grow larger and develop the triangular shape
  • Watering: Keep moisture even, then water again once the upper mix has started to dry
  • Substrate: Choose a chunky aroid mix that gives thick roots plenty of oxygen
  • Temperature: Keep it warm and away from cold, wet substrate
  • Humidity: Moderate to high humidity helps protect the narrow tips from drying
  • Feeding: Light regular feeding supports larger leaves once roots are established
  • Repotting: Move up a pot size when roots fill the container; keep young plants proportionate
  • Support: Use a small stake only if the crown starts to lean

Troubleshooting

  • Dry leaf tips: Check humidity, watering gaps, fertiliser strength and root condition
  • Smaller new leaves: Check light, nutrition, root space and recent changes after shipping or repotting
  • Yellowing leaves: Look at substrate moisture and root crowding first
  • Tight roots: Thick roots can fill a small pot sooner than expected

Spathe and spadix

Older plants may flower with the usual Anthurium flower structure: a spathe around a central spadix. This plant is grown mainly for its triangular leaves.

Safety note

Keep away from pets and children; plant material can irritate the mouth, throat, skin and eyes if eaten or handled roughly.

Background

Anthurium ‘Delta Force’ comes from the Anthurium clarinervium × Anthurium pedatoradiatum line associated with Steve Nock of Ree Gardens. The name refers to the delta-shaped leaves selected in this line. In Anthurium, the genus name points to the tail-like spadix in the flower structure.

It doesn’t stay in
The pipe keeps coming out. Not worth the money. Not sturdy to hold a top table.

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly. Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration. Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.

Kinda flimsy…
Thought the assembly was metal, it’s some kind of PVC.

Lovely and sturdy for what I needed!

We LOVE these shelving brackets! We were moving our books from our office space to turn that room into a nursery and I needed something that would be sturdy and off the floor since my books were moving to our living room. These are extremely sturdy, and also go with our curtain rods and other furniture that has this industrial style. The instructions for assembly are simple and easy to follow, I would just ensure you have an extra set of hands (this isn’t a one person job) we ordered the 3 pack, but ended up only needing the two for the space on the wall and they still hold the weight well. Also this is a work in progress so please disregard that I don’t have the other two shelves here😂 Definitely a high quality and great looking alternative to some other brackets out there!
