Functional Art for Your Plants
Each Alicante Planter is hand thrown from natural clay using traditional artisanal techniques and high-fired at 990° to 1,000° centigrade to aid in frost resistance and durability (see tips in Resources & Care/Warranty section below).
Inspired by the haunting beauty and weathered pigments found along ancient Roman alleyways or “vicoli”, the Vicolo glazes perfectly embody the design philosophy of wabi-sabi, which finds beauty in imperfection and authenticity.
Sold as a set only and cannot be divided
🪴 Pro Placement Tip
Terra cotta, earthenware, and the inside of glazed planters are slightly porous to aid plant growth. However, this means care should be taken to protect wood and delicate surfaces. Glazed, sealed terra cotta, or polyethylene saucers are recommended to protect your placement surface. Water-resistant cork mats can also be used as added protection.
