This distinctive cultivar is celebrated for its unique coloration and robust growth characteristics, making it a standout choice for collectors seeking unusual foliage colors in their aroid collection.
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain optimal coloration. Can tolerate lower light conditions but may lose some color intensity. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves.
- Temperature: Thrives in warm temperatures. Ideal range between 18-26°C (65-79°F) year-round. Protect from cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.
- Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity, ideally between 50-70%. Regular misting or humidity trays will promote healthy growth and enhance leaf coloration.
- Watering: Water when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Maintain consistent moisture during growing season but ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.
Additional Notes
Foliage Characteristics: Features heart-shaped leaves with unique red-brown colors that stand out from typical green varieties. The leaves range from deep burgundy to chocolate brown, creating dramatic visual appeal. As a climbing plant, it grows best with moss poles or supports, which help it grow upward and develop larger, more colorful leaves.
