The Agave 'Blue Glow' is a breathtaking architectural masterpiece that looks as though it was designed by a digital artist. It features elegant, chalky blue-green leaves with striking red and yellow margins. Unlike many agaves, it stays relatively compact and does not produce "pups" (offsets) frequently, maintaining its perfect geometric shape. This plant is a deliberate hybrid between Agave ocahui and Agave attenuata. While its parent species are native to Mexico, 'Blue Glow' was bred to combine the cold hardiness and sharp lines of one parent with the smooth, manageable texture of the other.
As a Century Plant, it takes decades to bloom. When it finally does, it produces a massive, towering flower spike that can reach several feet high, featuring clusters of yellowish-green blossoms. Because it is monocarpic, the plant will die after this spectacular flowering event, but since this usually takes 10 to 15+ years, it remains a long-term companion in the garden.

Thrives in full sun to light shade. To see the famous "glow" on the leaf edges, it needs plenty of bright light.
Requires rocky, sharply draining soil. A mixture of cactus potting soil with added gravel, pumice, or decomposed granite is ideal. It cannot tolerate soggy roots.
Once established, it is extremely drought-tolerant. Water sparingly roughly once every 2 weeks in summer and once a month (or less) in winter. -

Fits like a glove!

I recently had to buy new latex pillows because our old ones were beginning to shred after too many years. The old ones had a really nice cover on them that they came with and lasted as long as the pillows. The new queen size pillows came with a cover meant for a king-size and they were super thin and flimsy. The manufacturer tried to tell me it's so they could shrink in the wash. You can imagine the review I left!
I looked at almost every cover Amazon had on the site and decided to bite the bullet and spend more on these. I'm really glad I did. They fit the pillows like a glove and keep the pillowcases from trying to slip off during the night because they're not slick. They're not sticky either and it is easy to put on the pillowcase. They are quite a bit thicker than any other cover I have ever had and do tend to change the density of the pillow just a bit because of it. I'm not having a problem with the change and it is very minor. I will absolutely buy this case again if the need should arise.
I can't comment on the allergy stuff because we have latex pillows, to begin with so no allergens.
I see people complaining about the zipper and just can't quite understand that but perhaps they changed it before I bought mine. I do have to recommend putting the zipper end into the pillowcase first to protect you from feeling a zipper at night but I do this with any protector not just this one.

Love

I love, Love, LOVE the pillow this case is for. I cannot sleep without it. It is seriously one of my most prized possessions. I love that I can throw it in a (big) washing machine whenever I get grossed out about dust mites. However, throwing an extra big ass pillow in the wash is not always easy and takes too dang long sometimes. Plus, I need my lover, I mean pillow, to last as long as possible, so this pillowcase was a necessity. Fits like a glove, uses the same material as the pillow, which is soft and glorious, and is way way way easier to wash. A must have for your pillow.
Update: After a little over two years of daily use and regular washes, the zipper broke. The pillow itself is still going strong, and everything else about the case is still in near perfect shape.
