“Monsters Lead Such Interesting Lives” – Daffy Duck

From the 1930s-1950s, no movie show was complete without a cartoon, and no cartoon was complete without an established character like Bugs Bunny or a caricature of a celebrity, or preferably both. In the same period, Universal Studios dominated the horror genre with its Classic Monsters: Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, the Wolf Man, the Phantom of the Opera, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. It was inevitable that the monsters would make appearances in contemporaneous animation, and the tradition continues today in television shows like The Simpsons.

Matthew Hahn, author of The Animated Marx Brothers and The Animated Peter Lorre, has found over a thousand cartoons featuring the monsters in movies, TV, commercials, music videos, computer games, and fan films, including abandoned projects, coincidences, connections, and apocrypha. The monsters’ animated avatars play opposite Mickey Mouse, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Mighty Mouse, Woody Woodpecker, Mr. Magoo, the Pink Panther, Kaibutsu-kun, Beany and Cecil, Inspector Gadget, Spider-Man, the Super Friends, Scooby-Doo, the Transformers, Ghostbusters, Muppet Babies, Garfield, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Rocko, the Fantastic Four, Freakazoid, Catdog, SpongeBob Squarepants, Patrick Star, Billy and Mandy, Squidbillies, Tom and Jerry, Doraemon, Phineas and Ferb, Cleveland Brown, Uncle Grandpa, the Venture Bros., the Incredible Hulk, Teen Titans, Mr. Bean, Rick and Morty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Abbott and Costello. They have appeared in Mad Monster Party? (1967), the Hotel Transylvania franchise, Minions (2015), the Monster High franchise, the Groovie Goolies franchise, The Munsters franchise, the Castlevania franchise, Family Guy (1999), Futurama (1999), The Fairly OddParents (2001), Robot Chicken (2005), Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole (2010). Creators include Walt Disney, Frank Tashlin, Paul Terry, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Dave Fleischer, Walter Lantz, Bob Clampett, Tom Ruegger, and Butch Hartman.

Illustrated. Includes index, notes, and bibliography. This book should be on the shelf of all animation aficionados, classic movie fans, gamers, pop culture enthusiasts, history buffs, and lovers of fun facts.

LIBRARY JOURNAL BOOK REVIEW:
Hahn (The Animated Peter Lorre) conducts a  comprehensive  survey  of  Uni-Toons,  the  animated appearances of Universal's classic movie monsters in cartoons, movies, video games, internet shorts, and more. . . He also displays a sense of humor and a love of wordplay. . . Hahn's hilarious writing style . . . makes this one of the more amusing film reference works available."

Didn’t care for it
Color: Macrobrush Kit
I really didn’t care for this. The brush is small and the bristles too short. I much prefer a regular toothbrush

Brush head stays put
I prefer to use this than the other ones. Other reviews says the brush head gets disconnected from the holder so far I didn’t have the same experience. I like the 360 brush head. It just takes time for my puppies to get used to it.

Perfect Dog Toothbrush!!
Color: Macrobrush Kit, Color: Macrobrush Kit
As a pet momma of 7 animals, I make sure that all my babies are well taken care of. A lot of people forget about dental!! This toothbrush is so easy to use and has two heads so I can switch heads for my other dog. It has a great handle and I love that the bristles are 360 so they can clean every tooth!! Great for the price and functionalities!! I used it on my two pits and the size was perfect! I got the medium to large breed. The bristles are soft and it’s held up amazingly even with two pits!

My favorite toothbrush for my fur babies!
Color: Pink (2-pack)
I think these brushes are the easiest way to brush your fur babies teeth. I can get into their mouths and really see in there and brush each tooth and make sure the tarter is off. They even assist by trying to bite the brush and I use toothpaste for dog and gently brush back and forth first the front teeth then the side teeth then the inside teeth and the top of the teeth then the inside of the bottom and top teeth and I end with the left inside top and bottom teeth. I use vanilla mint toothpaste for dogs because my dogs are allergic to proteins. Their teeth look so white and their vet comments that their teeth look so great and clean. She does want them of course to have their yearly cleaning but she said there is no rush because their teeth are so clean and she sees no dental disease. I make sure that I wash the brushes daily with soap and keep them open after use otherwise mold will grow on them if you shut them in the case they come in. My pups weigh 6 lbs and 7 lbs and are Maltese females. They cooperate fully with me brushing their teeth because I started when they were puppies and now they are one and two years old. These brushes are lightweight and not expensive at all. I usually buy several at a time to make sure I have clean ones on hand just like you would change a human toothbrush monthly. Each pup gets its own toothbrush and I label the case for each with a marker. I like these better than a regular toothbrush because it’s 360 degrees and the pup can chew on it without hurting themselves or the bristles coming off. Highly recommend!
