Image Nutsedge Killer Concentrate Herbicide
Image Nutsedge Killer Concentrate Herbicide is a professional-grade selective weed control solution developed to eliminate nutsedge and a wide range of troublesome lawn weeds without damaging established warm-season turf when used as directed. Its systemic mode of action allows the herbicide to move throughout the weed, targeting both visible growth and underground plant structures for more thorough control.
This concentrated formula is particularly effective against yellow nutsedge and purple nutsedge, two invasive weeds that commonly invade residential lawns, commercial landscapes, and managed turf areas. In addition to nutsedge, it provides control of numerous broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds that compete with healthy turfgrass for nutrients, moisture, and sunlight.
Product Highlights
| Feature | Advantage |
|---|---|
| Selective Weed Control | Targets listed weeds while preserving established turfgrass |
| Systemic Activity | Travels through the entire weed for improved effectiveness |
| Nutsedge Specialist | Controls both yellow and purple nutsedge |
| Concentrated Formula | Mixes easily with water for spot or larger-area applications |
| Broad-Spectrum Performance | Controls multiple grassy and broadleaf weed species |
Recommended Turfgrass Uses
Image Nutsedge Killer Concentrate is suitable for use on many common warm-season lawn grasses, including:
-
Bermudagrass
-
St. Augustinegrass
-
Zoysiagrass
-
Centipedegrass
Always follow label recommendations regarding turfgrass tolerance and application timing.
Application Information
| Application Type | Recommended Rate |
|---|---|
| Spot Treatments | 2.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water |
| Broadcast Applications | 0.8 fl. oz. per gallon of water per 200 sq. ft. |
| Maximum Coverage | Up to 6,000 sq. ft. |
For optimum results, apply to actively growing weeds during the growing season. Following application, irrigation or rainfall can help move the active ingredient into the soil profile where nutsedge tubers and root systems develop.
Expected Results
Initial weed yellowing and growth suppression may become visible within one to two weeks after treatment. Complete control generally develops over several weeks as the herbicide is absorbed and distributed throughout the plant.
