Product description

Golden Money Plant (Epipremnum aureum) is a climbing or trailing vine belonging to the Araceae family. It is a very popular indoor plant, thanks to its heart shaped leaves which have natural splashes and variegations of green and yellow on them. Certain types of cultivation and growing environments cause these shades of green and yellow to become more vivid, this is why they are often called golden pothos. They are also commonly known as money plant in India, and devil's ivy in the West, though other names include silver vine etc. Depending on your locality or the local nursery.

Most people buy this plant for it forgiving nature. Whatever, mistakes you might have made with it in terms of care, you will see that it will still look as verdant and happy as always. This plant is very good at keeping up with rapid growth, and can trail down a hanging basket, or can be supported on a moss pole or a trellis, to form a climbing vine. No two leaves on a plant of this kind have the same variegation on them, thus, giving each plant its own distinct aesthetic character to display on your desk, or on a shelf or a window sill.

A compact 3-inch plant that comes in a 3-inch pot or as bare-rooted (option). Suitable for desk in study, kitchen table top, balcony railing or office desk. Maintain indoors in bright indirect light throughout the year, but in enclosed balcony or shaded patio in the outside. Do not place under direct afternoon sun as the leaves can burn under it. Like other broad leaf plant it is going to perform photosynthesise and respiration in a regular pace. The effectiveness in cleaning the air of any room depends on many factors like size of room, quantity of plants, ventilated state of the room etc. Therefore we cannot claim anything of that kind.

If you're considering your first indoor plant, this one is ideal to start with as it is tolerant of irregular watering and adapts to a wide variety of indoor temperatures. The smaller pot also makes it very easy to move the plant around when the light levels change with the seasons, and it does not demand as much space as a larger floor plant in a home or office environment.

Key features

  • Leaves heart-shaped with natural green and yellow variegation, each leaf uniquely marked
  • Prostrate or climbing growth habit which is suitable for hanging baskets, ledges or support poles

Frequently asked questions

Q: The reasons for the yellowing of my Golden Money Plant's leaves are ?

A: This condition is more often than not caused by either watering too much or by being in a pot with no drainage. Be sure that the soil in the top inch is dry before you water again and that the extra water is able to drain away from the bottom of the pot rather than stand there. It's natural to lose a few yellow old leaves each year.

Q: How often should I water this plant?

A: Not always-at room temp/humidity and then it depends on room conditions Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch which should be about once a week to ten days in typical indoor conditions, more sparingly if the room is cooler.

Q: Can this plant survive with only artificial light or low light?

A: This can tolerate quite dark conditions, e.g. Office environment with mainly tube or LED lighting, although growth rate will be slow and yellow variegation on leaves might disappear so leaves are a plain green.

Q: How quickly does the Golden Money Plant grow?

A: When it is bright but not in direct sunlight and is kept warm it will grow at a moderate to fast rate and put out new leaves every couple of weeks or so. Growth can become very slow when indoors in a poor light and throughout winter.

Q: When should I repot this plant?

A: Re-pot when you see roots emerging from the bottom of the pot, or when the rootball is tightly wound, usually 12-18 months after being planted in the size container above. Move to a pot 1-2 inches wider than the current container using new, well-draining potting mix..

Q: Is this plant safe for pets?

A: This plant, Epipremnum aureum, is considered toxic if nibbled or ingested by pets and may cause the following symptoms: oral irritation, excessive drooling or vomiting. Store this plant on a high shelf or in an area your pet can't reach.

Excellent Rivals to Lovers!!
Format: Kindle
The tension and banter between Huntyr and Wold was delectable. I absolutely love the fallen angel and all of his flaws. Huntyr is amazing too being a badass FMC with some major trauma. The world building was great and I enjoyed the training aspect of the story. The writing was immersive and was in the story the whole time. The ending had quite a twist that I hadn’t anticipated and made my jaw DROP. Excellent job! I also loved the narration. Laura is one of my fave narrators!

Great start
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! It's funny but still deals with tough themes, like chronic illness, a serial killer on the loose, and a dash of self-harm. The guys are interesting and distinct, we don't know too much about them yet. It does end on a really terrible cliffhanger but on the bright side the next book is out and I believe the series is complete. I have enjoyed both of these authors separately and this is a great team up!

Fudge!
Format: Kindle
Titles aren’t my strong suit. Sorry not sorry. That ending has me completely frustrated book two isn’t out yet. Just throwing that out there. First thing first, this is a high school book where the lead is under 18. Yea yea she’s about month from being an adult, but I can’t say I would’ve even opened the file if I’d realized. It’s not a smut fest or anything, but there is sexual tension as each party figures out their emotions. That being said, it’s a good book. There are some troubling parts, like how the supes come into their powers at 13, but most of those are dealt with in a way that makes sense. Kian is the exception. His whole arc pisses me off, especially since no one stepped in. Reflecting back on real world situations, ten or so years ago, I can see it happening, but it still makes me sick. Which, I’m sure was the whole damn point. For the most part, Courting Darkness is a fun read. I found myself laughing along with most of the set up. By the time it started getting serious, I’d grown to like the characters enough it held an impact. I’ll be adding book two to my list for when it comes out.

Outstanding Story!!!!!!!
Format: Kindle
Oh I loved this story. Sera is such an amazing, fun character. She has so much fire inside of herself. She has humor that makes you laugh with her sassy comments. The guys are fantastic. I don’t feel as if we really have gotten to know who and what they are but they are such a mix of fae. The story is extremely well written and developed. It had me pulled in and didn’t let go. There was so much action, drama, and suspense. Then we get to the ending and goodness there is so much going on. This ending was a major cliffhanger and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next.
