Tropical Hibiscus Flowers On a Braided Trunk Bring Regal Vibes!

The Braided Pink Hibiscus Tree is as eye-catching as it is easy to care for!

Hibiscus rosa Sinensis is the perfect tropical ornamental tree for tropical and subtropical gardens. Beginning late spring until fall, the large, pink flower blossoms will open up profusely to provide continuous hibiscus blooms throughout the growing season. The hibiscus flowers are large, rosy pink-red in color with dark red throats and central pistils and stamen.

Contrasting the reblooming flower buds is dark green foliage that stays evergreen in most warm climates. In cooler climates, it is considered deciduous or semi-evergreen as the green leaves may drop for winter. This sun-loving shrub is commonly called Chinese Hibiscus, or Rose Mallow Hibiscus.

The pink tropical hibiscus tree’s flowers will attract pollinators such as butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees to your garden. Use this hardy hibiscus tree to line sidewalks, create a focal point as a specimen tree, or plant it in containers as a patio plant or accent tree.

How To Care For Pink Braided Hibiscus Trees

Pink Braided Hibiscus trees are simple to look after and there ways you help make sure they grow healthy and strong. Braided hibiscus plants perform best with full sun but can tolerate partial shade. It does require at least 6-8 hours of sunlight to thrive. You can plant hibiscus trees across the United States in USDA plant hardiness zones 9-11.

It can tolerate the spring, summer, and fall months in colder zones but it will need to be protected or brought indoors near a sunny window for the winter cold weather. Grow tropical hibiscus indoors only when the weather is not suiting outside. Move the potted plant outdoors when the weather warms up in spring.

Well-draining soil that is slightly acidic or a commercial potting mix that is rich in organic matter is best. A slow-release fertilizer applied during early spring will encourage flower production and a thick layer of mulch will help to retain moisture during times of drought. Keep the potting soil moist when watering your hibiscus especially if it’s a potted hibiscus species and it is newly planted.

Yellow leaves on your tropical hibiscus plant indicate too little or excess water as the perennial plant grows. Too much water can cause root rot and can kill the plant, so make sure to choose a pot with a drainage hole.

How Tall Do Braided Hibiscus Trees Get?

The Braided Hibiscus tree size is up to 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide as a mature tree. It has an upright growth habit and needs to be pruned to encourage sideways growth.

Braided Hibiscus Tree Winter Care

Although most Hibiscus trees are perennials that will come back every year, a tropical hibiscus braided tree won’t be able to tolerate frost or temperatures below 40°F. To help your potted hibiscus tree survive the winter, bring them inside during the colder months of the year. Choose a sunny spot in your home to place them to make sure they get enough light every day until the spring when you can move them back outside to your patio or yard again.

How Often Do You Water A Pink Hibiscus Tree

When you first plant a Pink Hibiscus tree, whether, in the ground or a container, you should give it a lot of water to help it establish its roots during its first week. Afterward, you can water it 2 to 3 times a week when there isn't any rain.

To protect your Pink Braided Hibiscus tree during the hotter summer months, when temperatures reach 70°F or more, you should water it once or twice a day depending on how hot and dry it gets.

How To Prune A Pink Braided Hibiscus Tree

You should prune your pink hibiscus tree as this will help encourage new growth and help you shape the tree into your desired look. Braided hibiscus trees grow with terminal flowers, or flowers at the end of the branches so pruning is important in helping the tree grow more branches and flowers. Also, prune any diseased or dead branches and shape the side branches accordingly when they start to grow wild.

This pink hibiscus plant has already been pruned into a small tree from its flowering shrub form. You can perform other pruning cuts to maintain the desired height and size you would like on your pink hibiscus tree.

When Do Hibiscus Trees Bloom

Like all other hibiscus varieties, the pink braided hibiscus tree blooms during mid to late summer, around August. A pink hibiscus tree will bloom for 3 to 4 weeks. The blossoms will usually only last one day.

Can You Plant A Hibiscus Braided Tree Outside in the Ground?

While some hibiscus varieties can grow well outside, the tropical hibiscus braided tree is better grown in a container. This allows you to bring the pink tropical hibiscus tree inside during the colder winter months. Whether you plant it in the ground or in a container, ensure the pink hibiscus tree’s roots have enough room to grow and spread.

This ornamental flowering tree is low maintenance, heat tolerant, and easy to grow. It is also deer resistant. The colorful blooms make a perfect tropical planting or cut flowers!

Great for sensitive skin
Scent: Rosewater (2 Pack)
There is a lot of hand washing in our house and one kid was getting chapped hands from every soap. On a mission to discover the perfect soap, this one came out on top. It’s lightweight and easy to rinse off, moisturizing without leaving a greasy feeling, smells nice, and a little goes a long ways. It works great in every foam dispenser we have tried. Skin is healed and clean.

Great for sensitive skin, cleans well.
Scent: Unscented, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 2)
Only soap I can use at the moment. I have extremely sensitive skin: I cannot do really any coconut derivatives or even palm oils but this soap does not bother me at all. I feel clean with no heavy scents afterwards (I use the unscented version) which is a win in my book. I don’t use it on my face or hair just as a body soap and it doesn’t make my skin feel prickly or give me any unexpected rashes/reactions. It is a little drying for eczema prone skin so I just use more lotion when necessary. You get two very large bars that last well for the price it seems reasonable, but honestly I’d pay anything to not itch at this point.

You will not regret buying!!
Scent: Unscented, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 2)
I don't normally write product reviews but this soap truly deserves it. I had heard about beef tallow products as a carnivore dieter but hadn't paid too much attention to them until I found a huge mass on my thyroid. Suddenly, I'm looking at all the products that I use and am shocked that everything has endocrine disrupters like dyes and fragrances. This was the most natural soap I could find and what a huge turn around in my skin. I have always had certain areas that are habitually dry and even lotion would not 100% fix them. After using this soap for over 2 weeks, my skin is so smooth and almost has that glow you see in lotion commercials. I have not applied any lotion at all in the last 2 weeks and I'm softer than I have ever been. I even shaved with it and it was the smoothest shave I have ever had. I used to use conditioner to shave with and this soap is far superior. It is also far superior to the facial lotion soap I was using. My face isn't dry anymore and no more rebound oil. The people that I have told about this are immediately grossed out and think that the soap smells. There is an ever so slight hint of tallow but it does not last and once you start using the bar it isn't noticeable unless you sniff the bar itself. It does initially leave that sticky feeling that you get from Castille soap, which is strange when you're used to conventional beauty bars or body washes. But please don't quit using it! That sticky feeling is adding moisture and protection to your skin and once you towel off I promise you will not feel sticky. After a few weeks, I promise it won't feel weird anymore and you'll have the best skin of your life!! I'm sorry for the long review, but I am so grateful for this product. It is not only a beauty miracle but better for your whole body, no more toxic chemicals leaching through you skin. And people are not lying when they say this soap lasts. I use it twice a day and I still have a good sized bar left. Also, it really does not disintegrate like regular bar soaps. A few reviews mentioned it being expensive and my husband also commented on this when I bought it, but in my opinion it is extremely cost effective!! This is my rationale, it replaces the facial lotion wash, shaving conditioner, and the need for body lotion and it lasts a long time. My other reasoning is that the long term medical costs of using toxic products just doesn't seem worth it.

Cleared up my skin!
Scent: Unscented, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 2)
I have been using this soap for a little over a year. I was on accutane to cure really stubborn acne and when I got off my acne came back. I started using this paired with a beef tallow and honey moisturizer as my only skincare and it cleared up my skin so well. I love this soap and it is so natural and nontoxic. Amazing product.
