This is one I’m really excited for.

The seed parent was made by Foliage Freak and tends to throw down super dark, long-leafed offspring, dark petioles, red abaxial veins & spider veins. It seems to pass those red traits pretty reliably.

The pollen parent is a papillilaminum x ochranthum I purchased from Living Art Store. It’s matured into one of my favourite weirdos - wide sinus, red-veined emergents, texture that gives kunayalense vibes.

What makes this cross even more interesting is that it happens naturally in the wild between sympatric populations of these two species.

The aim here is flat-sinus long bois with red veins and that pollen parent texture. Haven’t seen many complex hybrids using pap x och as a parent, so I’m not sure exactly how they’ll turn out - but I've got a good feeling about this one & the vibes never lie 🧘
