Philodendron Emerald King
(Philodendron erubescens 'Emerald King')

A bold and handsome self-heading cultivar of Philodendron erubescens, the Emerald King earns its regal name through its architectural presence and the sheer quality of its foliage. Large, broadly ovate, deeply glossy leaves in rich emerald green emerge from a compact central growing point, arranged in a radial pattern that builds into a full, layered canopy with genuine structural weight. Unlike its climbing erubescens relatives, the Emerald King develops an upright, self-supporting form with a short, sturdy base — no pole needed — making it one of the more practical statement aroids for floor displays, large shelving, or office environments. New leaves unfurl from protective sheaths with the satisfying deliberateness the genus is known for, each one adding to an increasingly impressive specimen over time.

This cultivar maintains a compact, upright self-heading growth habit, producing progressively larger leaves in stable conditions. It performs well in bright indirect light — tolerates moderate light better than most variegated philodendrons given its fully green foliage, though brighter conditions encourage faster growth and larger leaves. Water when the top 1-2" of medium is dry, ensuring excellent drainage and never allowing roots to sit in standing water. Provide a chunky, well-draining aroid mix of coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark; as a self-heading variety, choose a pot that accommodates outward root spread rather than height. Moderate to high humidity of 60-70% supports healthy, vigorous leaf production. Maintain warm temperatures between 65-85°F away from cold drafts. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.

The Dog LOVES IT!
I bought this for my ex-wife's Pitbull. He is an aggressive chewer and usually destroys any toy I buy him. But not this one! The ball is small enough and pliable that it gives when he chomps on it. He loves this ball and seems to be his favorite toy. Thank you for making a product that he likes and can't destroy!

My Golden Retriever’s favorite
We’ve owned lots of toys and balls. This specific version (in blue) has been her absolute favorite. She’s about 72lbs and chews on this thing regularly with no visible damage. We actually own about 6 of them because they have a tendency to go missing underneath furniture and in the yard. We have two of the orange colored ones but she doesn’t like those nearly as much which I assume is because the blue is easier to see in the grass. Other than that…They bounce really well and also whistle a little when you throw them hard enough. I hope they never stop making these.

doesn't whistle as loud as other chuckit balls I've seen, but a good ball.
makes some noise, but I've seen (and played with) others at the dog park that whistle much louder than the 1 I got. all Chuckit balls... so, just this one I'm betting. but it flys good and the dog loves to chase it. he chews it a fair bit as well and the ball has not taken much damage from him (lab mix) or others that have had a go at it. I'll likely buy another at some point ... just wish it was a little louder when flying.

Blue ball, my dog likes blue.
Just a ball right? Evidently not! My dog won’t chase an orange chuck it ball or the glow in the dark ball- only the blue one 🤷🏼‍♀️
